Our licensed technicians specialize in total home comfort. On every visit we can check 12 critical areas of your home, from the roof deck to the basement, and tell you what we found. Then we plan one system that works together: heating and cooling, humidity, moisture, filtration, fresh air, insulation and the roof.

A licensed technician checks 12 critical areas of your home and tells you in writing what we found and what we'd recommend. Free with any service visit or free estimate visit. No obligation.
The free Home Comfort Check
Ask for it on any service or estimate visit. Your technician walks the house with a humidity meter, a static-pressure gauge and a flashlight, then gives you a written summary: what we found in your home, and what we'd recommend.
Age, condition, short-cycling and whether it looks right-sized.
Static pressure, disconnected or leaky ducts, crushed flex.
Filter type and rating, condition, and air sneaking around it.
A humidity reading in your living space, too high or too low.
Condensation, damp basements or crawlspaces, musty odors: conditions that can lead to mold growth.
Stuffy rooms, fresh-air equipment, bath and kitchen fans that vent into the attic.
Insulation depth and coverage, gaps and drafts at the rim joist.
Roof-deck staining, leaks, ice-dam signs and blocked soffit vents.
The hot and cold rooms you tell us about, and why they happen.
Thermostat type and location, and whether zoning would help.
Age, type and fuel.
Venting condition and CO detectors. Anything urgent is handled on the spot.
The check is a visual and measured walk-through by an HVAC technician, not a lab test or a home inspection. We only report what we actually checked.
A system that works together
Heating, cooling, insulation, ventilation, humidity and the roof over your attic all affect each other. A tighter house needs planned fresh air. A heat pump sized for a leaky house is oversized once the attic is sealed. A roof leak or a damp basement creates moisture conditions that can lead to mold growth, and no filter fixes that.
So we plan the pieces together, in the right order. Work outside our HVAC license, like roofing, electrical, generators and boilers, is coordinated through licensed partner trades under the same plan.

Stop the drafts and heat loss first, so everything after it can be smaller and quieter.
Heating and cooling sized by load calculation for the house you have after sealing.
Keep indoor humidity in range and manage the moisture conditions that can lead to mold growth.
MERV-13 media filtration catches fine particles the thin filters let through.
An ERV or HRV supplies planned outside air to a tighter house without wasting heating or cooling.
Thermostats and zoning that run the whole system together, room by room.
The Home Comfort Assessment
For bigger projects, a heat pump conversion or a house with problems the free check can't pin down, we offer a full Assessment. It is priced in writing before we start, and the fee is credited toward your project.
A Manual J calculation sets equipment size for each room, not the old unit's label.
Static pressure readings and a duct inspection show where air is lost before it reaches a room.
When your home needs it, we arrange air-leakage and duct-leakage testing.
Attic, insulation, ventilation and roof-deck findings, with roofing coordinated through a licensed roofing contractor.
Humidity readings and moisture sources, so dehumidification and ventilation are sized to the problem.
Priorities, priced options, the order to do them in, and the incentives your home may qualify for.
Packages
Every package is built from what we find in your home, so the scope and price fit your house. Start with one level and add more over time.
*Roof repair and replacement are coordinated through a licensed roofing contractor. Batteries, generators and their electrical work are installed by licensed partner electricians.
Beyond heating and cooling
Larger homes have rooms that need their own climate, and a roof and attic that decide how well everything else works. We plan them as part of one system.
A dedicated cooling system holds the steady temperature and humidity a collection needs.
Walk-in refrigerated rooms for food, flowers or a serious pantry.
Purpose-built dehumidification protects the structure from pool-room moisture.
Whole-home dehumidification keeps humidity in range, measured, not guessed.
Battery or standby generator, installed by licensed partners as part of one plan.
Roof repair or replacement coordinated through a licensed roofing contractor, planned with attic ventilation and insulation.
Rebates and incentives
Utility and state programs can cover a meaningful share of heat pump, insulation and ventilation work. We identify the programs your home may qualify for and what each one requires to claim.
Program rules, amounts and funding change, and each program confirms eligibility. Federal residential energy tax credits ended for equipment placed in service after December 31, 2025. Klarna and Afterpay are offered at checkout, subject to approval.
Custom homes and major renovations
On a new build or gut renovation, comfort is decided on paper. We size equipment and ducts from load calculations on your plans (Manual J, S and D), plan fresh-air ventilation and humidity control for a tight envelope, and lay out zones, specialty rooms and backup power with your architect and builder.
The result is quieter, right-sized equipment and no late redesigns when the walls are already closed.
Load calculations and equipment sizing from your drawings.
Zoning, ductwork, ventilation, humidity and specialty rooms.
One schedule with your builder, partner trades included.
Balanced, labeled and documented before move-in.
How it works

We install in the right order and coordinate partner trades, roofing included.
Questions
On any service visit or free estimate visit, our licensed technician checks 12 critical areas of your home: equipment, airflow and ducts, filtration, indoor humidity, moisture and mold-risk areas, fresh air, attic insulation, attic ventilation and the roof deck, room-to-room comfort, controls, the water heater, and combustion and venting safety. Afterwards you get a written summary of what we found and what we would recommend. It is free and there is no obligation.
The tools a good HVAC technician already carries: a humidity meter, a static-pressure gauge for your ductwork, a flashlight for the attic and basement, and the data plates on your equipment. It is a visual and measured walk-through, not a lab test.
A deeper, paid evaluation for homes that need it: a room-by-room load calculation (Manual J) and a detailed plan. When your home needs it, we arrange air-leakage and duct-leakage testing. The Assessment is priced in writing before we start, and the fee is credited toward your project.
Insulation and air sealing are installed by Airmax or a licensed partner crew. Roof repair or replacement is coordinated through a licensed roofing contractor, so the roof, attic ventilation, insulation and your heating and cooling are planned as one job with one point of contact.
We look for moisture conditions that can lead to mold growth, such as high indoor humidity, condensation, damp basements and roof leaks, and we fix the humidity and ventilation side. If we note visible mold-like growth, we refer you to a remediation specialist.
No. The findings are yours either way. Many homeowners start with the one or two items that matter most and plan the rest over time.
It depends on your utility, your current heating fuel and the work. Con Ed customers in Westchester may qualify for NYS Clean Heat heat pump incentives. Eversource customers in Greenwich may qualify for Energize CT heat pump, insulation, ventilation and water heater rebates. We identify the programs your home may qualify for and what each one requires. Program rules and funding change, and each program confirms eligibility.
Connecticut homeowners can ask about Smart-E financing, which is subject to lender approval. Klarna and Afterpay are offered at our secure checkout, subject to their approval.
Airmax handles heating, cooling, ventilation, dehumidification and refrigeration under our Connecticut license. Electrical work, generators, batteries, gas piping and boiler work are done by licensed partner trades under one plan, and we coordinate them.
At the design stage. Equipment and duct sizing should come from a load calculation on your plans, and tight new homes need planned fresh-air ventilation. Bringing us in early avoids oversized equipment and late redesigns.
